Circle skirt Ft mummy!

After getting home and changing out of my clothes, i realized that i didn't take any pictures by myself, so that makes this is a mummy featured post. I decided to go simple and pair this lovely skirt with a simple top and i chose to stick to neutrals (black and white) for this look.

I think my mum looks gorgeous in her african outfit. I love the bold colour and the silver accessories complement it so well. Hopefully i look like her when i grow up!!

I have noticed that lately i haven't shopped in a while and i have really been enjoying working with what i have in my closet. This process has enabled me to know what i have and know what i dont / what i need. Also, it has helped me to wear the items that have been sitting in my wardrobe unworn with the tags still on. I'm going to try my best to continue on this path.

Blue & Gold

So today I thought I'd go for a simple look with some of the pieces i got from the last Zara sale a few months back. I decided to add some bling into the outfit with these gold heels which i love!
This outfit consists of two things I've been really loving lately: v-neck tops, and body con skirts. I find them really flattering!

Whites

White always looks so clean and fresh. I attended a show last weekend so i decided to wear this all white ensemble. I paired these high waisted trousers with a cami along with this gorgeous h&m blazer and completed the look with nude court shoes and a nude purse and some simple accessories. I decided to add a pop of colour with some red lipstick and voila! This post is loaded with pictures because i couldn't decide which to keep in the post, so i hope you enjoy! :)

Neutrals!

I have become a big fan of neutrals. My outfits these days consists mainly of a combination of blacks, whites, nudes, and greys with the occasional pop of colour. The simplicity, and freshness of the absence of colour excites me! Another thing i have been loving are trench coats (you can tell from my pervious post) I think they add that extra touch of sophistication -without trying too hard- to an outfit. I love it!

 I wore this simple grey dress which i have had for ages, along with this nude trench and some white strappy sandals to tie the look together.

Trench Coat & Pinstripe

This trench coat has to be one of my favourite buys in a long time, the length, the fit - although its two sizes bigger than my size, I think the loose fit gives it that extra pizzazz. Also, the fact that it is light enough to be worn in spring is just an added bonus! Your imagination really is the only thing that limits the amount of ways this coat can be styled - I can not wait to wear it as a dress once it gets even warmer. It is just such a lovely coat!

The Black "Jumpsuit"

I have been away for a while, so i haven't had the opportunity to post as much in the past few weeks. Although i missed blogging, I felt like I needed some down time, to take a step back and really put certain things into perspective. I found that sometimes everything moves at a really fast pace, and you find yourself trying to catch up and you eventually end up loosing sight of things that are ultimately important. However, I am finally back!

I enjoy stocking up on my basics, such as a simple tee- in white, black, and grey. They can be paired with anything (for those days where you do not know what to wear) from a pair of trousers, to a skirt, to some shorts, simply jazzed up with a few accessories you have your self a look.

The wind was not on my side today, hence the messy hair.

Tartan Tales

Tailored pants are an essential in my wardrobe. I first saw this exact pair at zara, they were about $80, i didn't want to pay that much so i decided to check choies for a similar pair, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the exact zara dupe. I particularly love these because firstly, they are printed (but not obnoxious looking) Secondly, they fit perfectly without me having to make any alterations (thats very rare with most pants i get, they are usually big on the waist). Lastly, they are made so nicely considering the price - I was impressed when i received them. I will definitely be visiting choies a lot more from now on.

Grey Mode

I am very indecisive when it comes to impromtu decision making, which is why i try to plan my outfits at least a week in advance (or at least have an idea of what type of look i want to go for). Today just had to be one of those impromptu days which i dread. As i woke up this morning, all i knew was i wanted to wear this coat (which i haven't worn since i got it a few months back). After several minutes of rummaging through all the options in my closet and causing a disaster in my room, i finally decided on this pairing. What do you guys think ?

The Red Coat

A tailored long coat is definitely a winter essential, especially in a vibrant color to add that extra glam factor to any outfit. This one i have had for a couple of years, and i love how bold and timeless it is. I paired it with these black tailored trousers and my new gojane pumps to add a dressy touch to this sweater which i have worn almost every other day since my lovely mummy bought it for me. I love simple pieces that can be worn a variety of ways.

Winter whites

Once i received this pullover in the mail, i immediately knew i wanted to pair it with an all white look. All white looks so fresh and clean, especially in the winter, while it snows; in my mind you'll look so magical. I decided to break up the look by adding gold & black accessories.

According to my sisters i look like Kanye West in this look lol.

Blogger style swap with Amanda

Through blogging i have met some really amazing people - both in person and online. Amanda (strawberryess.blogspot.ca) is one of those people, she is a fellow blogger who constantly inspires me with the way she puts her ensembles together, so unexpected but still very stylish and chic. Leather and fur

Leather pants are one of my winter essentials as they are so warm and also quite versatile. This one was from h&m, i love that it feels and looks so much like real leather although it isn't, and it also fits like a glove.

I have been wanting a hat like this for a while, i found a couple but they were all priced outrageously so when i spotted this one on ebay i jumped for joy as it was only $8, of course i had to buy it.
